Maureen L Osborn (Mrs) – Brief canine CV –

My affix: QUAILMOOR (originally a gundog affix)

I started out in Irish Setters in 1981, showing them with moderate success. I loved my Irish, but in 1986 I was taken with a delightful, small Utility breed with great character and introduced a Tibetan Spaniel bitch of excellent Cuckoostone/Braeduke breeding.  This was the start of a long and successful show career in Tibetan Spaniels. In 2001, I bought an English Setter from the well-known Wistaston kennel to show, but she was never bred from.

I had my first litter of Tibetan Spaniels in 1990, which produced a beautiful bitch that did extremely well as a puppy, qualifying for the Northern Top Puppy Competition in 1991. My small kennel of homebred dogs has produced a Fr/Lux Champion bitch, a CACIB winning dog in Belgium, a British Champion with currently 6 CCs and 9 RCCs , his litter sister with one CC to date,  a RCC winner and numerous ticket winners bred by me but owned and exhibited by others. The young dog I am currently campaigning gained his Junior Warrant.

In 1994 I completed the Animal Care College’s ‘Judging Diploma’, gaining a Distinction. I first awarded CCs in Tibetan Spaniels in 2007 and I judged a Breed Club Specialty in New South Wales, Australia in 2010. In October 2016 I have the honour of judging at the Northern TSC Championship Show. I have served on several canine committees, including the South Western TS Club for the last 6 years and I am on various judging lists for breeds within the Gundog and Utility groups.

I look forward very much to judging your beautiful Swedish dogs and feel honoured that you have given me this opportunity. Thank you.
